Summer lovin', had me a blast!
I love that song from the movie Grease.
I have photographed a ton of couples this summer
so I thought I would share a few because couples are
FUN to photograph!
My first couple is Danielle and Josh.
The are both ADORABLE...
even more adorable TOGETHER!
With couples, I prefer to capture natural interaction
as opposed to a stiff, posed look.
I often get this by simply talking with them
rather than posing them.
I have my camera ready and I shoot when they
are laughing, or interacting in some way.
We photographed these down by our river at about 8 PM.
LOVED playing with the golden light.
By the river is a wonderful place to take portraits.
Yep, I love NATURAL posing!
Haley and Kyle have been dating for five years
and hired me to finally get some good couple photos of them.
I ask the couples to wear coordinating clothes...
especially compatible colors.
Then I style the photos adding props in those colors.
Tablecloths from the thrift store make great picnic blankets
in loads of colors. I buy them for about a dollar apiece!
You can tell Kyle adores Haley.
I adore the evening golden light!
One of my favorite places to shoot couples is on
this covered bridge near my house.
Middle-aged love is just as romantic.
Colette and Bill wanted a vintage-looking portrait that reminded
Colette of the movie
Somewhere in Time.
They were leaving for Mackinac Island the next day to
see the Grand Hotel where the movie was shot.
I surrounded them with lots of thrift store props
and I think they look very romantic like the movie.
I threw in a few special effects for this couple Sally and Joe.
I don't often use textures for portraits, but tried it with these.
Lovely Joanna and Alex posed in this amazing gazebo near
Joanna's house. I wish it was near MY house!
They are a playful, young couple, and came up with all the poses.
Whenever I see a hill and pretty sky...
I am thrilled to get this pose:
Yep, I've been busy with couples this summer!
Summer love is in the air!
I LOVE....LOVE!
I love all the kisses. Kissing is just the best thing ever.
